Traveling to Mongolia has always been associated with the spirit of adventure and exploring. Since 2002, the Tengri Group management started building and consolidating its interests in adventure and outfitting companies. Tengri has founded and gained majority shares in the following adventure and outfitting companies: Altai Outfitters (66.6%), Gobi & Khangai Outfitters (66.6%) and Mongolian Outfitters Consortium (50%). The Tengri Group outfitting and adventure companies significantly contributed to opening of new frontiers in adventure travel in Mongolia and new opportunities for better use of resources in protecting the wildlife and supporting the local communities by contributing to the education of local nomads and game rangers. The Tengri Group management was instrumental in founding the Mongolian Professional Hunters Association. In addition, in 2007 Tengri Group Chairman and CEO has been elected as the Vice President of IPHA (International Professional Hunter's Association). In March of 2008, the Tengri Group acquired 20% interest in Taimen Tours LLC to compliment its existing portfolio of adventure and outfitting services including first class fishing expeditions in Northern Mongolia . Taimen Tours has a beautiful lodge on Chuluut Gol and has fishing rights in Chuluut, Shishghid, and Tengis rivers that total fishing and river rights for over 110 kms.
